The President of Shahid Beheshti University met with the President of Belarusian State University.
According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University, Dr. Seyed Mahmoudreza Aghamiri, President of Shahid Beheshti University, held a meeting with Andrei Dmitrievich Korol, President of Belarusian State University (BSU), on the sidelines of the Summit of Presidents of Universities from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
During the meeting, the delegation from Shahid Beheshti University and officials from Belarusian State University discussed and exchanged views on opportunities for expanding scientific, educational, and research collaborations between the two institutions.
The President of Belarusian State University, referring to the university’s position as one of the leading institutions in Belarus, emphasized the importance of strengthening academic interactions with universities from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Dr. Aghamiri, in turn, introduced the scientific and research capacities of Shahid Beheshti University and expressed the university’s readiness to expand joint cooperation, including faculty and student exchange programs, implementation of joint research projects, and enhancement of academic relations with Belarusian universities.
Both sides also highlighted the role of universities in achieving the scientific and educational objectives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and stressed the importance of leveraging shared capacities to promote regional cooperation.
